Re: LOG4OM/MSHV & FT8WW
Trying to work FT8WW. Someone commented that he is using MSHV, some sort of FT8 variation. Does anyone have any info if this is true, and how it would be configured with LOTW? MSHV, the software, uses its own multistreaming format. It's compatible with the standard FT8. It's not/not the same as WSJ...

Re: Moving from a Win10 to Win11 machine - how to copy?
Sounds like you did not use the portable package to install Log4OM initially. The beauty of the portable package is that you can just copy and paste Log4OM to a new location problem free. If no sure solution for this task is forthcoming try the following: 1) Copy the entire folder where Log4OM is in...

Re: version 2.25.00 suddenly takes up 100% resources
I have turned off VOACAP. So far have not had any lockups. Too soon to be sure yet. I will post if it freezes again. In the VOACAP configuration screen one can also switch between 2 or 4 digits locator. The default is 2 but in case it was set to 4, try 2 to see if the feature can remain enabled/ava...

Re: METAR DATA not loaded
This feature has never worked for me since its introduction. I'm 18 miles or so from YOW (or CYOW), Canada's capital airport. My location is correct in the station information. No error messages in the log. That said, there sure is a problem. See the attached: 1.jpg The 'Nearest METAR station' is bl...

Cluster and FT8 spots.
I have been 'struggling' with the cluster section of Log4OM since day 1 of my adopting it as a logger. I'm 100% FT8 these days so this is what I have configured in the cluster section to display. The problem is/was, Log4OM cannot handle the 'avalanche' of FT8 spots. Yes, I did filter the spots at th...

Re: Saving and restoring program and database configuration
This is an FYI only. YMMV. I always look for portable versions of any software I want to test and eventually use. Portable versions can be easily moved from one PC to the next. Backups are as easy as simply copying the folder to another media. It can be zipped to save space. Restoring is just a matt...
