Actually, it turned out to be a little bit more straightforward than I had anticipated. I uninstalled, downloaded the latest version and everything is working just fine now. I just don't understand what is going on. If I open up the logbook on my PC and click on connect and then cat, the cat interface the box opens up immediately and I am able to configure the radio. However, on the laptop no matter what I do I cannot get the cat interface box to open up.

It's okay, I remembered how to "run as an administrator" right click on the desktop icon. However, I still can't get the rig screen to come up so that I can configure the software with my radio.

Now you mention it, something about admin. I can't remember, how do I run as an administrator? I'm checking the settings on my other PC and everything looks the same as it does on the laptop. Okay, I've downloaded my logbook but it appears to be a different format to what you use in HRD. Is it possible to take the database from log4om and import it into Ham Radio Deluxe. I know that when I first installed this program, I took the database from HRD and imported it with no problem
