For the information of all users reading this thread Doug's problem was resolved last week.

It seems that Doug had a very old version of Omnirig installed on his computer. As soon as he installed the latest version all the virtual and hardware com ports were displayed in Omnirig and it was able to communicate with the Eterlogic VSP Splitter.

I have now had WSKT-X with JTAlert running for several days using the Eterlogic VSP Splitter, Omnirig and Log4OM and it has all worked 100%, all QSO's were recorded faithfully in Log4OM and all programs and the rig synchronise perfectly.

I have written a new section for the user guide describing in detail the use of virtual serial ports and this will be included in the next release.

I have spent the last few hours going through my log and editing my United States contacts and adding the state prefixes, Al, CT ect ect.

I just need to get WSJT-X running with Log4OM and I will be very happy indeed. I can't seem to get the frequency to appear in WSJT-X no matter what CAT settings I try.

I use a Yeasu FT817ND on COM 3 and my G4ZLP Interface is COM 4.

Chris,
You should have asked about the state update you could have done it in under half an hour!

You need to instal a virtual serial port splitter for frequency synchronisation and control as explained earlier in this thread

The user guide has a section covering the JTAlert integration on page 164 and page 159 details the VSP setup

Sorry finger trouble!

I should have typed JTAlert on page 164 not FLDigi

Morning Terry,

Not a problem really, I only have 940 or so contacts in my logbook so going through it wasn't really a problem, it passed the evening away nicely. I now have FLdigi working fine with Log4OM and I'm really impressed. All I want is for the frequency to display in WSJT-X. I will have a mess with it this morning.

Thanks for your help, software support for Log4OM is second to none.

Rather than start a new thread I thought it best to post this link here. New Beta version of WSJT-X coming soon. Apparently it will work better with Omnirig, should make WSJT-X integration with Omnirig & Log4OM a little easier.

I just got around to trying the new version of WSJT-X - v 1.4. It now supports OmniRig, so both WSJT-X and Log4OM can exist happily with both enjoying 2-way CAT control. Works well! Here is the link to the site - http://physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/K1J ... -main.html

To find the OmniRig integration, it is in the list of rigs. In the list of rigs, scroll down to the O's and you will find it. Don't select your rig, select OmniRig instead to use OmniRig.

When I use WSJT-X and choose Omnirig I get an Omnirig time out?
