Migrating Log4OM to another computer

Post by G4POP »

1. Install Log4OM on the new computer - Do not run it

2. Copy all files and folders from the old computer C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\LogOM onto an empty memory stick or CD

3. Copy and paste all of the files and folders from the memory stick to folder C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\LogOM on the new computer

4. Locate the database file on the old computer either by referring to the path shown at the lower right corner of the Log4OM window (See screen shot below) or by searching for the SQLITE file e.g. Your call.sqlite or *.sqlite

5. Copy the SQLite file to the new computer to the same location

NOTE: If the SQLite file is stored in a Dropbox or other Cloud storage then step 5 is unnecessary

6. Start Log4om on the new computer and all of the configuration should be the same and the recent QSO window should be populated with the logbook QSO's - If the QSO's are not shown go to File/Open Database locate the SQLite file and click open.
