WSJT_X UDP server

Post by KD0ZV »

Is it safe to assume that port 2333 is not a required port number and we can broadcast on any legit port?

The reason I ask is because most Flex users that run skimmer and many that run WSJT are using SliceMaster as the bridge between the Flex and the apps. Slicemaster was designed to automatically configure the apps when it starts them. This includes UPD and Telnet as it has its own Telnet aggregator built in.

So even if you set WSJT-X UPD to port 2333 the next time Slicemaster starts WSJT-X it changes the UPD back.

On UPD I would not think it matters but wanted to make sure Log4OM was not doing something that required that exact port.

Not to mention what about multiple instances of WSJT-X for multiband use?
