Icom CAT issues

Post by K5CKS »

I don't know if this is within the purview of the development team. There appears to be an issue with some of the Icom CAT interfaces. I have an IC-756 Pro III and an IC-9100 and both are demonstrating the same issue. When I double click on a Cluster spot to move the radio to the station's band, frequency and mode the radios won't go to the correct frequency the first time. Instead they end up 400 to 600 kc off the frequency in the spot. I found it interesting that both radios which are completely different (9100 is USB, 756 PIII is serial) are behaving the same way. Here are the things I did to try to correct this:
1. slowed down the connection to 1200 baud.
2. Set polling delay to 100
Neither of these had any effect. I noticed that these interfaces are either "Beta" or "Untested". Can they be debugged?
Thanks & 73,

Sounds like your using Hamlib?

I have NEVER had any success with Hamlib

Try Omnirig, that has worked flawlessly for me with 756Pro3, 7600, 7300, 7100, 7400 plus it shows both Vfo's in display

How do you do that?
7400 (aka 746PRO)?! I never got both VFO's working with Log4OM. With Omnirig only VFO A is in display. With Hamlib both VFO's showing in LOG4OM but radio receiber continuously switching between VFO A and B.
I'll be grateful for any suggestions.
Logger 2.28
Win10
Omnirig 1.9
