IOTA Awards Ref missing on ONE qso

Post by k4em »

I updated 5 QSO's IOTA designator under 'edit qso' , Award refs, the Award pull down had the IOTA listed, I added the IOTA number with no issues.
One QSO does not have the IOTA pulldown under Award Refs, I searched here and the manual. I could not figure it out, how to add the IOTA pulldown for this ONE qso.

OK

The prefix maps to Azerbaijan which of course does not have any islands, hence no IOTA in the awards reference list!

However if you look at the QRZ page for the call sign you will note that it was used in 1990/1991 for Zmeiny (Snake) isl., which is in the Black Sea and therefore in the Ukraine, this activation date is also indicated in the field below the call sign on lookup.

Correcting the country to Ukraine will then provide the IOTA drop down from which you can select EU-182 (Black sea coast group) which includes Snake Island.

I assume this is an old QSO that you are entering manually? because its not been active since 1991?
