I tried few experience:
- Fresh installation on a computer without any previous version,
- Portable version,
- And the computer where I made previous tests.
I the 3 cases I have the same problem: the unique common parameter is the SQL database, with is located on a remote server...

A way long Refreshing on V2.13
Re: A way long Refreshing on V2.13
Hello Terry,
That is the problem! With a sqlite database, refresh" takes less than 1 second.
The difference is between 2.13 and 2.12 on the access of the sql database..

Re: A way long Refreshing on V2.13
Hello,
I'm running Log4OM2 from 3 different locations/PC's on a remote MySQL server and after updating to 2.13 a refresh would take up to 45 seconds, whereas in 2.12 this only takes a few seconds. This problem occurs on all 3 locations.
The database contains about 37k records, one PC is a quad core i7 running Windows 7, the second is a virtual machine running Windows 10 and the third machine is a laptop with a quad core i7, also running Windows 10.
Using a local SQLite DB (with the same records), 2.13 performs very well, a refresh will only take 1 or 2 seconds.
I also tried to create a new MySQL database using version 2.13 to see if that would make a difference, but it doesn't.
For now i reverted back to 2.12.
As f5mxh already stated, it looks like the common denominator is MySQL on a remote server.

Hello
I use a laptop PC with an i5 / 8Gb and SSD
My Database (SQLite) is on this SSD no via the network
well if I want to modify a QSO, I double-click on the QSO in question, the display of the "Edit QSO" window is only completely displayed after 13 seconds.
As I have hundreds of QSOs to modify (to add RDA) it is practically unusable here and so I deleted the display of VOACAP in the parameters which still saves a few seconds ...

This doesn't seem to be the same problem because both f5mxh and me have no performance problem with a local SQLite database.
I'm not sure what you mean by "add RDA", but if you have to update a lot of records with the same data you could have a look at bulk editing or bulk updating, just search the help file for the word "bulk".

ditto on the modify issue (not as long...but progressively gets worse the more I edit)F6FLU wrote: ↑12 May 2021, 13:48 Hello

Re: A way long Refreshing on V2.13
Hello,
I have the same problem as discribe since i have the 2.13 version of the software.
The refreshing is quite long and before with the 2.12 version i have not the same problem i am also using the sqlite database and no problem with performance quite the same of the other user.
It is a little bite boring when you make many contact just behind the other because it is take time to refresh and add the new contact.
Someone find a solution for this ?
many thanks
cedric

Re: A way long Refreshing on V2.13
I am on MySQL (MariaDB v10.5) and I am experiencing the same issue. If I switch to QSLite the refreshes are fast.
