Downloaded V2.15.0.0 today. Since then, I cannot get CAT to work. The program is being run as admin. Using Omnirig, I get the parameters set as I normally do. I select Connect, CAT. CAT symbol at bottom of screen goes green. However, there is almost no control of the rig, no VFO's are shown, and OFFLINE is shown at the top of the screen.
I say almost no control of the rig, because if I go into Connect, CAT, CAT screen, If I click on say a different band to the one the radio is set to, after a delay of about 3 seconds, the band will change, and I can also change mode.
I've spent most of the day checking things, verifying the setup is as I usually have it. I have deleted Omnirig, and downloaded a fresh copy from DXAtlas, along with new updated .ini files.
Any help much appreciated.

Omnirig version?
Have you checked it's not your firewall or anti virus software blocking
Which rig ini did you select in Omnirig?

Hi Terry,
Thanks for the fast reply. Omni rig version is 1.19. Using Kenwood TS590 .ini ffile.
I have checked and both Log4OM2 and Omnirig are both allowed through the firewall onto private networks.
I only have Windows defender and firewall, nothing else.

Out of interest, I just made an FT8 QSO using WSJT-x. That all worked, and the logger picked up the QSO and logged it, and it is in my eQSL.cc outbox.
So just appears to be the Omnirig interface not working. It was fine with the previous version.
Baffled.

When you say it does not work are you trying to use log4om and wsjt at the same time?

No. I was trying to use Log4OM stand alone.
Then gave up and went to WSJT-X on FT8.

The something is set up wrong with Omnirig, I am sure that you used the same com port and baud rates on both but did you try changing the stop bits in Omnirig?
Have you tried another Kenwood rig ini like TS2000 or ts570?

Re: Log4OM V2.15.0.0 and Kenwood TS590SG
Hi Terry,
Couldn't make it work again this morning. I verified all the Omnirig settings with what I had documented for my old logging program (Winlog 32). So played around with the cluster, as I've never really used that on previous versions.
But I eventually clicked on a spot, and the thing sprung into life, OFFLINE message cleared, VFO's were displayed, set the radio to the band, mode and frequency, and now appears to be working normally.
No logical reason for why it wouldn't play before.

Re: Log4OM V2.15.0.0 and Kenwood TS590SG
why are you running elevated mode for log4om.... i dont and my ts590sg connects everytime.
I am using both the db9 serial port, and the usb with driver installed. running log4om , via omnirig 1.19 on db9 port, while wsjt, etc uses the usb com port ( not using the omnirig on that one
none are running elevated
