Help with Label settings

Post by pa0kgb »

Hi dear OM.
I have still a lot of labels for my printer and want to use them for QSL labels.
They are A4, 14 labels (2x7)
105 x 42.3 mm
I get crazy about setting the definition.
Does anyone have any suggestions, the border is fine, but the spacing between the labels column is off, I loose a lot of labels.
How best to attack this?

Kind regards
Martin

Martin,

It can be a painstaking process to say the least.

I kept testing/adjusting the correction factors and printed the 'test' to plain paper, printed it and laid it on top of the actual label form to see how close (or not) things were getting.

Once I was satisfied with what was working out I would actually put in a label sheet and give it a go.

It truly is trial and error as each printer is different. When you print from your Adobe reader be sure it is set for 'no scaling' or such. You want "actual" sizing. That is an option when you click on the print function for Adobe or the Foxit Reader.

As always on big hint

Make sure your print properties are set to print original size NOT fit to page or anything else!
