Hello
I have a problem with the alerts, probably something that I did not understand
I create an alert on 3DA0RU only on 15M in all modes EXCEPT CW and FM :
but I still receive an alert with this alert if 3DA0RU is on 15M in CW even though I have excluded this mode in my alert
what mistake did I make?
Thanks and 73

Re: Alert Problem
Because over riding the band selection in the top right pane is the CW, Phone & Digital below
If you dont highlight Phone and Digital it assumes that you want all three mode types
The legend reads "No selection = All" which means if you dont select something it is considered that you want all three

Re: Alert Problem
Thank you Terry, I didn't understand like that
(in fact these are questions that French users ask me and that I did not know how to answer correctly
But for more details:
for example if I want an alert on one or more bands, I check the desired bands on the left, but if I want for example that in CW mode I check CW at the top right AND CW at the bottom or it is not useful to check CW at the top right ?
IF I understand correctly, for "Digital" I can select one or more digital mode for example FT8 at the top right AND DIGITAL at the bottom left to have an alert only in FT8 mode
Idem for Phone I can check LSB and/or SSB and/or USB and/or FM at the top right AND Phone at the bottom to have a voice alert
but for the CW I have to check CW on top AND CW on bottom for this to work
That's right ?
Thanks again

Re: Alert Problem
Because there are only two CW modes (CW & PCW) you dont really need to differentiate between them so just checking CW in the emission type box will alert you only for CW modes of either type.
IF I understand correctly, for "Digital" I can select one or more digital mode for example FT8 at the top right AND DIGITAL at the bottom left to have an alert only in FT8 mode

Correct
See abovebut for the CW I have to check CW on top AND CW on bottom for this to work
That's right ?

Re: Alert Problem
Further this topic, I have tried to configure some alerts on the current DXpeditions.
Strange things happen, in the sense that I get an alert ringing while I see no spot corresponding to the alert.
So I wonder :
where does the alert come from ?
is there a way (suggestion) to show the actual spot instead of just the spotter and rules that is applying ?
Examples : I have an alert for 3DA0 on 17m, and I got an alert after a spot on 12m.
I also got alerts for J5 when no spot shows in the cluster window.
