Telnet Won't Connect To Clusters

Post by nc5k »

After selecting a number of clusters and clicking on "connect", Telnet initiates connection, cluster indicator goes yellow for a few seconds, then cluster indicator turns green for a second, then drops out and goes gray again. I've tried everything I can think of to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Brad,

Be sure to take some time and look in the most current Users Guide starting on Page 64.

Have you watched the YouTube video that Terry has developed for the Clusters? BTW - there is a whole series of Y/T videos for many different elements of Log4OM-2.

Here is link for the Cluster Y/T that Terry did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU7SGOWY1uE

I read the Users Guide, watched videos, and searched this forum before my post. The program log file shows the following:

Brad,

I also use the ve7cc cluster and just logged out and back in and looked at my log and didn't have any delays to connect, etc..

Can you log into ve7cc from the CC-User app on your PC?

FWIW - I run two clusters in my Log4OM2 cluster arrangement. One is ve7cc and one is n4zkf which is just another instance of Lee's cluster. I have/use two different SSIDs ... one to each and that gives me the spots I'm mostly watching for.

Check to make sure you have access to ve7cc via CC-User as well.

No, I can't log in to ve7cc from a CC User app, I get a timeout and error message about the port (23). I tried a command-line Telnet connection from the PC but it failed, too. It seems like the port isn't open or something but I'm not too familiar with these type of communication prototols.

Thank you for responding to my messages.
