Having previously used my spare radio, an IC-7300, with Log4OM on both a Windows 10 desktop and a Windows 10 laptop, it was frustrating to find it didn’t communicate via USB to either computer.
An IC-9700 worked fine with Log4OM under Omnirig on the desktop.
Neither Log4OM, nor Minos, would talk to the 7300 using either Hamlib or Omnirig on the desktop PC, but Minos with Hamlib worked on the laptop!
The problem was solved by deleting the Icom USB driver and re-installing it. The versions looked the same and were dated 2018.
I know this problem has been covered on here before, but I don’t think removing and re-installing the Icom USB driver was mentioned as a fix.

Icom IC-7300 driver issue
Re: Icom IC-7300 driver issue
Dave,
Tnx for input and additional food for thought.
Every time I see a post about communications to/from an Icom rig I almost shudder as it is often always related to the Icom driver(s) in some fashion or another.
I don't have an Icom so can't speak directly to experience with same, but watching the quite often recurring posts about those driver issues has me shaking my head wondering about the Icom driver programming.
