Edit label print

Post by on6at »

Hello,

First of all I am using version 2.23.0.0 with windows 11.

I want to print my qsl labels.
Via Utilities you can go to labels definition. There you create your label and it will be saved in your folder.
Via Utilities I go to Label print and indicate my qso's that need to be printed.

Everything runs smoothly, but after printing I notice that the layout is not as I saw in the test via label definition.

What I determined was the following;
- If you press Print via label print, you also get the option to go to edit via step 1: label choice.
- So at EDIT you can update your label, which you have chosen here by Select label.

But I found that this didn't work well.
Example:
1) Step 1: label choice > Select label: the first label is Avery L7159 and the second label is Gallery 11035 105*35mm
2) I choose label 2, so Gallery 11035 105*35mm and press Edit.
3) The Label definition window opens. But at load label I see my first label, so Avery L7159
4) I changed this to my 2nd label Gallery 11035 105*35mm
5) I adjust my label a bit, such as Corrective factor, Interline or QSO per label.
6) Via the Page layout tab, I can click on the flopy disk next to Name of the label.
7) The program has given me a warning that the label already exists asking if it can be overwritten.
8) I click OK
9) I now get the message "label saved with name user_Gallery 11035 105*35mm" and click on OK.
10) I now have to close the Label definition window itself.
11) I also close the Label print window just to be safe.
12) I start over with "Utilities" > "Label print" and choose my QSOs.

What happens after this edit?
The settings I just saved, so Gallery 11035 105*35mm is still my old settings. The program has NOT used the new settings that I modified. :o

Is this a bug or is something else going wrong?
Or do you have to close LOG4OMv2 completely before you can read the new settings?

Patrick,

Did you select the label you saved with the "user_" prefix on it?

Hi Nolan,

I found my mistake.

I see now that I have a new label name with User_Gallery 11035 105*35mm instead of 2_Gallery 11035 105*35mm
Shame I didn't find this. HI

Thank you for the tip.
