Circuit reliability vs. cluster reported Reliability
Circuit reliability vs. cluster reported Reliability
Shouldn't the value displayed in the Cluster (F8) Reliability column match the data displayed on the Progration (F9) -> Circuit reliability graph? Perhaps I am misunderstanding something.

Did you ever figure this out?

Curious as well. Something does not look right.
I'm 100% FT8 these days, so I changed required SNR to 25%. The predictions do not seem to match. I know it's a propagation based prediction, aka, black magic.

Also seeing the same problem. Is it that one or both calculations are not doing UTC offset correctly? Haven't had time to look into that further.

Re: Circuit reliability vs. cluster reported Reliability
Cluster propagation is calculated hourly on 4 digit locators for the entire world.
4 digit locators are pretty wide in area, and cluster location is always calculated on country centre.
Callsign focused propagation is calculated in realtime (but should not differ, as voacap take into account hour, minutes) focused on 6 digit station locator.
Propagation cannot be calculated in realtime on all spots, instead we calculate propagation in background for all gridsquares then we will apply data near the spot.
For that reason, the voacap values may sometime differs.
Knowing that, if you have evidence of strange values i'll be glad to check.

Re: Circuit reliability vs. cluster reported Reliability
Hi,
I'm a little confused because I've been seeing exactly the same Circuit Reliability diagram for over 2 weeks when I give up the call PJ2LS.
Since today I have a different Circuit Reliability diagram.
I had the impression that the VOACAP information used for the Circuit Reliability diagram is only updated once a month.

Re: Circuit reliability vs. cluster reported Reliability
voacap IS working based on year/month/sun spots and mutual position.
There are not other parameters taken into account in the voacap engine.
Edit: It's not our choice, it's how VOACAP calculation works

Re: Circuit reliability vs. cluster reported Reliability
So it is correct that the Circuit Relaibility diagram in the cluster does not change during 1 month.

Yes, unless there are changes in sunspots.
