Propagation issue

Post by KD0ZV »

I occasionally get an issue with the circuit reliability graph.

I have a friend that I was trying to explain how it worked and he did not understand. He sent me a screen shot.

This is exactly what I see on occasion.

Note you can see the proper graph (dots) if you look close.

Rich,

Rescan of video driver???

Also noticed that I did not see your Worked before (F10) Tab ... where is it?

Looks pretty much to be a screen clip of the main UI.

Nolan,

This was a screen clip from KE0IAT. I have seen the same on several occasions.

The reason you do not see the B4 tab is its clipped off right below that.

I have closed log4OM and came back in to same call and band and got same results. So I dont think its a video refresh thing.

So at least two of us are having the issue.

Rich,

Still has to be a video display issue that is not properly processing ... especially in that it is reaching up and blocking out a tab.

Could be some weird hiccup in V2 and we'll make sure Danielle is aware.

FWIW ... below is a screen clip of my V2 UI this afternoon.

Had to go look at his picture again. Yes I see what you are saying. I will check mine next time it messes up and see if the B4 tab is missing.

He sent me a screen clip of about 75% of Log4OM and I had to crop it down further so it would upload to forum and thought I had cropped the upper tabs off but hadn't :)

And BTW, mine works 99% of the time. His did as well on other calls and bands.

Rich,

Another question ... do you have your Windows display set for default of 100% with no percentage increase for a somewhat larger display?

I've seen (even on my system) when I do such it tends to mess up some displays and image rendering.

Just a thought.

If you are talking about screen scaling. No. I run at full native resolution not scaled. And I agree, not all programs play well with that.

I think I have this figured out.

If you switch bands via the rig (Flex 6600 in my case) or N1MM the reliability chart messes up. Almost as it has not clears the previous band data.

Here is video

Rich,

I can replicate that issue with my IC-7600. Just enter a callsign, then select Propagation tab, Circuit Reliability tab, display chart is fine, then change bands on the radio. That gets the graph all messed up.

Thanks for reporting! The key was that a band change from the radio was the trigger. I'll add it to Mantis.

It not just the reliability tab, its all the propagation graphs, indicating its the data being passed, not just a redraw issue.

And it does not always occur is you single click on cluster to get a callsign into the main UI. Always seems to cause issue with manual typing of callsign.
