Showing little pirate flags

Post by G7WFC »

Hi all,

While playing radio today, I noticed on the cluster, 2 stations had little pirate flags instead of country flags, I'm guessing this is either an error, or little oversight, but thought I'd let you know..

The 2 stations are:

Z26FB - https://www.hamqth.com/z62fb
TX5D - https://www.hamqth.com/tx5d

They both seem to be legit, both on QRZ.com also..

Thanks

Ahh sry, the latest 2.4 version, noticed it the day I updated, and I think everything updates automatically, so any lists should be good..

Pirate flags in the cluster are displayed if the country cannot be determined from the prefix.

This is because to keep the cluster working at a reasonable speed not ALL sources of lookup are used, especially not on line lookups.

However when the call is transferred to the callsign input field the full lookup process is then carried out and invariably it finds the correct information.

Sometimes the cluster indicators can be incorrect because the user failed to update the datafiles like country file etc or has set the automatic file updates at to greater intervals.
