V2.12 Causes Rig Control Malfunction

Post by HP3AK »

Second time I have installed Log4om v2.12.0.0. The CAT connection has changed and now causes my Power SDR mRX PS v3.4.9 to malfunction. Specifically, the VFO A TX button flashes at high rate and setting TX to VFO B fails back to VFO A almost instantly, on next data strobe. Checking and Unchecking VFO mode in CAT Management has no effect. I use Kenwood 2000 as rig type and noticed that Kenwood 2000 entry has changed from Beta to Stable. Reninstalling previous (single VFO read) version fixes the problem...except for constantly having to dismiss the new version NAG screen at startup. Thanks, HP3AK

I expect your using Hamlib which had a few problems, the next release of Log4om contains the latest Hamlib release which should resolve your issues

Meanwhile try Omnirig

I have a problem as well. Using an Icom-9100 via Hamlib, all working before the latest upgrade, Now vfo a and vfo b keep swapping back and fore about every second. Settinngs gone from 9100 untested to 9100 stable. I have got the cat working via Omnirig but not sure why this problem is happening.

Rob,

Terry noted in the post above yours that there were some issues with that version of Hamlib. The developer (of Hamlib) has been working on repairs and we've been testing those in an Alpha release. Won't be too long before an update of Log4OM V2 is ready.

I have the same problem.

None of 2.12 and 2.13 versions can communicate with my rig´s (two Icom 756 PRO II). The new releases after 2.11 are not able to run properly the CAT interface. The advertising square (CONNECTED or DISCONNECTED) flash shortly in green and after a few seconds return to gray color, the dial in the upper left corner stay on OFFLINE no matter what rig I choosed. I tried some rig´s like Icom 756 PRO II (is the obvious) and ICOM 706, 7100, 746, 756 PRO,756 PRO III, etc. Result´s are zero. This problem start from the moment the rig driver´s are changed from Beta to Stable.

The only solution until now is uninstall the 2.12/2.13 version and reinstall 2.11.

Not everithing are problem´s. LOG40M2 is for me the best logbook I know. It is a mix of effectiveness and simplicity for the user, and I don´t want to change it, but this problem is quite annoying.

Thank´s to the developer team.
