QSO Manager -

Post by sq9jxb »

Hello All

Please take a look at the screen and see what is happening as in the QSO manager we edit the correspondent's details.
Grid locator is not updated.
Data is downloaded from QRZ.com (Platinum subscription)

Did someone notice this?

P.S. I know, I know, the pensioner does not care about trivialities, but it is not a trivial matter in my opinion.

Best regards during this troubled time.

If the field is already populated we dont over write it because the information might be different because the station was /P or /M etc

But the Grid Locator should be completed as it is in, for example, QRZ.com

In FT8 or FT4, the / P or / M stations provide a 4-character locator, not a 6-character locator.iem

I know that it can be supplemented on a regular basis, but let Log4OM enter it himself, right?

Hello Jan,

as Terry said, if a locator is provided by another software Log4OM will not override this one. It´s possible that
the station you worked in JTDX has another locator then the one which is stored at qrz.com and/or other
services. Overriding the 4 digit from JTDX can result in a wrong locator in this case.

Think the most users going conform with this .... ;) ;)

Another Option:
Stop direct logging from JTDX to Log4OM and let JTalert log the contact. In the past (i´m not using digitals more
than one year) i have had a lot of 6 digit locators stored with this way.
73´s .. Juergen ... ALT-512 SDR (10W) , 50 m random wire at SG-211 autotuner, 2 x Xiegu G90 (20W HF TRX) one as portable Radio. Also TS-790E (40 W) for VHF/UHF with X-50 vertical and Duoband 4-Element LPDA.

You could ask WSJT developers to provide the complete information!
