How to log a SOTA chase contact of an activator who's activating a summit outside the country he's located?
For example DL/ON4UP/P activates ON/ON-009 which is in reality very possible.

Re: V2 & SOTA
How is this possible Peter, surely if he is on an ON summit he must use ON/?????

That is 100% surely possible Terry. The activator must be in the activation zone. That zone doesn't stop at the border of a country; only at 25m lower than the summit altitude.
The situation I describe happens with summits lying on the border of 2 countries where the summit belong to 1 country but the activation zone in the other country is must more practical.

It might be easier to grasp if you think about a more domestic example. Take GW/SW-041, Black Mountain. This was moved from G to GW when higher ground than the trig point was found on the Welsh side of the summit, so some people operate from the highest point using a GW prefix (no pedantry!) and others still operate from the trig point (inside the AZ) with a G call on a GW summit.
In the case of ON/ON-009, the summit is “owned” by ON, but part of the AZ is in DL. Your callsign MUST reflect the country you operate from, but the summit designation doesn’t change. I can think of at least one case where the AZ of a summit is shared between three countries, but only one “owns” the summit!

Damm,
We filter by country prefix to avoid the user having to troll through thousands of references, let me think about this!

Re: V2 & SOTA
Extremely process intensive
Best idea so far is to allow user override of filter by country so that a selection can be made

Re: V2 & SOTA
filtering by locator of the station? it's possible, yes, but usually the locator you have is the one of the counterpart QTH...
Anyway it's possible to register a new reference even if not listed. The feature is used to allow users to add unlisted references (new one just added to the award list).
Simply press the black rounded button with PLUS at the center:
it will open a red area where you can type on:
and the reference is added:
and shown in statistics
Nice isn't?

Re: V2 & SOTA
If the Award reference search field doesn't take the prefix of the activator into account, then a manual search of the SOTA reference can be found and selected. Currently the record cannot be saved because 'Data missing' because there is not SOTA reference selected.
