Why is the call sign HS0ZOA shows as an England station instead of Thailand?

What are you using for a provider service and have you did the "Update resources" recently?

I use QRZ.COM as primary and qrzcq as failsafe. Still showing England (after finished entering that full call sign). His reported grid square is IO91vl which is in UK.
So, is the country name taken from GRID SQUARE instead of call sign prefix?

I use HamQTH as my Primary Info Provider and HSA0ZOA resolves to Thailand for me. Also, any HS0xxx callsign resolves to Thailand, as expected. Interestingly, looking up that call in QRZ, I find no Grid listed, so I am not sure where that England grid is coming from.

Ok, I did a little Sherlocking... Set Help, Log Level to Debug. Opened Realtime Log. Entered the callsign HS0ZOA into callsign field. This is what I got.

You can see all the steps which Log4OM V2 goes through on one Callsign entry.

My analysis (for what its worth - subject to correction by Danielle or Terry) is:
1. Country file resolved to Thailand.
2. CQ Zone was set by Clublog search.
3. Search of my primary provider HamQTH was negative.
4. Secondary search on QRZ found the callsign.
5. Clublog exceptions search was negative.

Suggest you give the above method a try to see where things went bad.

and this is same for previous version of Log4OM also. I see England ass the country. Shot an email to Carl HS0ZOA to update his grid on QRZ.COM

Country file is right, it resolves thailand. His QRZ shows UK flag, so it's set as UK in the QRZ.COM

Log4OM doesn't receive DXCC from QRZ.COM if you're not a pay subscriber (yes, it's true) so if you have a FREE qrz.com access Log4OM is not able to retrieve a country from QRZ.COM and relies on his internal engines (that are really powerful imho).
If you're a QRZ.COM subscriber they're so glad to provide you the country the users set on his profile IF the callsign is NOT decorated with suffixes that changes the country (aka he's working at home). In that case the DXCC value is retrieved from QRZ.COM and used in Log4OM with those results.

This is also reason for different responses for different users using QRZ.COM

I'm thinking about ignoring QRZ.COM / HAMQTH / QRZ.CQ / HAMCALL default countries... maybe by an user selectable option...
