Band map

Post by W0OGH »

On the band map, when i am on 10M, 28.074 FT8 as an example, the band map spans from 28570 to 29150. Doesn't show anything below 28570. I've tried a to make it slide down but that doesn't do anything. How do i get it to cover 28.0 to 28.5 at least as i don't operate beyond 28200 in reality.

And no i've not looked at the user guide as yet to see if that is discussed.

Larry,

Check the zoom level. You can select from the lower left of the Band Map a scale value and/or you can tap the minus/plus keys at the top of the Band Map. Zoom in/out as you need.

I just clicked onto 10m with one of my Band Maps, put the scale at 1x (lower left of panel) and then scrolled down to 28001.

Hope that helps out.

Also Larry are you scrolling the bandmap using your mouse wheel?

Tried that also. Only way i can get the scale to change is to click on either the plus or minus signs but it will not go towards the low end of 10 or 6. Nothing on the right side of the scale window in the way of a scroll bar either. No idea what else to try to get it to work or show those portions of the band. I'm sitting on 50.313 but the band scope window only goes down to 51.7.

Larry,

Noting your display limitations now on 6m ... did you ever get a more expansive display on the 10m Band Map that you posted about and I suggested a couple of items, but never heard back from you?

Did you have good results there or not?

Same possibilities for the 6m Band Map as the 10m.

I had to use my mouse scroll wheel a "lot" to get to the bottom of the band even at the 1x Scale setting.

FYI ... there is not any scroll-bar on the Band Map panels. Only the scroll wheel on one's mouse or touchpad.

Nolan,
I didn't have the "notify me when reply is posted" check so didn't see your response. Please excuse.
It doesn't matter what setting i use, 3X, 20X i cannot see the bottom portion of any band. On 10M now i can get down to about 28.650 and that's as far as it will go. same on the other bands, it will show so much of the band, but not the lower portion. I cannot scroll down into that portion of any band and clicking on the minus sign does nothing for it. It condenses the frequency range but does not, will not go into the lower portion of any band. I'm running the new 2.8 version of Log4Om as of this morning. The computer is a HP 2800 with WiN 7 Pro for software. Both the keyboard and mouse are Logitec. On 10M the highest freq is 29.060, non scrollable and the lowest is 28.650 non-scrollable. Thats after clicking on the red -- button and using the 1X scale.
