In VER 1 of Log4 I could select the calls that I wanted to send or not want to send.

Yes, that's correct. The "Upload confirmations" box doesn't list any QSOs. Those were already listed in the previous box after you clicked "Select required". If you have Log4OM set up OK, then this should only select QSOs you haven't already uploaded to LOTW. It won't upload your entire log. Going through and selecting individual QSOs seems to be making more work for you.
