Are you connecting to SmartCAT via IP or serial?

My 6600 setup uses hamlib with SliceMaster in the mix so that hamlib and Log4OM "follow" whichever slice is designated TX.

I have Log4OM start slicemaster and slicemaster starts CW Skimmer on demand when a slice is set to CW. With that configuration I can run all four slice receivers simultaneously with any combination of Skimmer, FLDigi, and WSJT on any combination of bands. Logging and rig control work as expected in all apps. Log4OM can run as regular user and its CW features work with the integrated Winkeyer and target whichever slice is TX. OmniRig isn't used.

It's possible to set it up without slicemaster at the expense of some ease of use features.

Dale,
Could you document this set up in word or similar and I will add it to our user guide with of course the appropriate credits to you.

Sure. Can you PM me with an email? DocX is too large for the forum.

Super short version:
Install Slice Master from https://github.com/K1DBO/slice-master-6000/releases
In ... tab enable TCP CAT TX Listener for tcp port 7820
In Log4OM Settings->Program Configuration->CAT set CAT Engine to Hamlib
In Log4OM Connect->CAT->Show CAT Interface set param string --model=236 --rig-file=127.0.0.1:7820 -v

Log4OM CAT then goes to whichever slice is flagged TX so you can have up to 8 slices active on the SmartSDR side without confusing Log4OM.
