What is Exchanges QSL?

Post by W4EBB »

Something new in 2.11, at least to me, is "Exchanges QSL" in the list along with LOTW, EQSL, etc. What is this?

I searched the user guide with no results and googled it also with no results.

Enlighten me please!

Where?

If your referring to the info window where we show lookup data then it means what it says he 'Exchanges QSL' (Cards)? similarly he is an EQSL user or LOTW user!

As a part of my search I tried to find where "Exchanges QSL" message gets set - but did not find where.
Please tell me where.

It does not get set by the user, it's derived from the on line lookup like QRZ or HAMQTH

Why don't you like it or want to modify it, does it cause you a problem?

Not at all - I just want to know how it works.

I have LOTW, eQSL, QRZ, Clublog and QRZCQ. But I do not have "Exchanges QSL" when I lookup my call sign. Why?

Charlie,

I just looked at your call on QRZ dot com and you don't have anything checked off in that profile about using LOTW, Eqsl, etc..

That is where the information is being collected from for the "Exchanges QSL" label.

Your profile settings in HamQTH would also provide that information.

Because you failed to set that information in QRZ, compare your lookup detail with my lookup detail below

NOTE THE QSL INFO AT BOTTOM OF EACH! OR IN YOUR CASE THE LACK OF INFO!

Thanks Nolan & Terry!

You answered my question. At first I did not know what "Exchanges QSL" meant or where it came from. That is what I was trying to find out after my efforts to search the User Guide did not turn up any info.

Now I know.

Your responses to my question is greatly appreciated.

I almost hate to ask another question - but - Isn't this new with 2.11? I do not recall seeing this prior.
