Having activated 100+ unique SOTA summits over the years, here is my "SOTA workflow":
(1) In TQSL: Add new location
(2) Log4OM Settings > Program Configuration > Station Information: Change callsign, country, locator
My References: Add your SOTA reference
Station Configuration: Select default radio, default power, default antenna
External Services > LOTW: Select Station ID from drop-down list
(3) Add your QSOs (I'm using Log4OM's Lazy Log feature). Set the 2 options (external lookup, send data to external services) as required. I prefer to do the LOTW upload manually in the "QSL Manager".
(4) In the "Recent QSO's" list, select the QSOs you want to upload to SOTA. Right-click > Selected to ADIF. Upload ADIF to SOTA database.
(5) Change all Log4OM settings back to your home call defaults.
Others may prefer to use separate Log4OM configurations. There isn't just one way of doing it.

Hi,
sorry for replying to old post, but just an update in case other drop by;
When adding the following in Lazylog before entering the QSO's:
- Grid
- SOTA reference
you don't need to change location in TQSL, and you don't need to set your own SOTA reference in "My references" in the settings. Saves a few steps
For correct upload to online services, you must change the LOG4OM profile to the /P profile. But if not using any online logging services, I guess that's not needed either? (I have not tested).
Therse are the LazyLog settings I enter before inserting the QSO's:
stationcall lb4mi/p
