QRZ lookup- strange results

Post by ei3gd »

hello forum,
I seem to be having a slight issue with he latest version.
On the previous version it LOG40M 2 would correctly read the gridsquare from QRZ, I tested this on two my operating pals.

But on this version, it only seems to work on one of them,, even though both have their GridSquare cortrectly listed on QRZ.
For example, entering MI0VKO shows up Dave's home town on the map correctly.
But when entering EI2HW , John's location is not shown, but instead it reverts to the default Ireland GS of IO53.
Same thing happens with many contacts, it just defaults to the National GS for the country.

Wonder if this is an issue with my config?
I tried 'reset map cache' but no change after reboot.

Any ideas?

Your not an XML paid subscriber to QRZ just a free Ham Member so you will not get detailed data from the lookup like locators etc.

Try joining the free HAMQTH and using that instead

See our FAQ section viewtopic.php?f=40&t=4462

Thanks Terry,
Spot on!
I has a crash and lost everything, so could not figure out why I no longer saw grid locators.

Cheers!
