The manual describes how to edit the override files in the Resource Editor, by opening the existing one, changing saving and restarting Log4OM
But it doesn't explain what exactly can be edited here.

Can I open/edit or add a column to the awardOverride.csv file? say gridsquare column after Dxcc and list 1700+ parks with missing gridsquares? or perhaps the lat long for the references?

You can add rows not columns because that would change the award structure

You must use the same format that is used in the existing rows

When you save the file it becomes a user file which will not be overwritten by an update
