I was playing with my Airspy HF+ and attached it to the IF out of the K3S/P3 combo hoping that the new TCI might work (seems to be proprietary to Express), but decided to explore and see what did work. I use Win4K3 Suite to set up a virtual com cable between it and Omnirig. This works great with everything so far.
However, I discovered when I set up SDR Console with external receiver set to Omnirig, it would not connect when Log4OM was already using Omnirig. This shouldn’t be of course, but this is what I discovered.
Not sure if this is an Omnirig, Log4OM, or SDR Console problem.

Re: Log4OM & SDR Console
Hello Jamie,
are all the softwares you use run as administrator ? That´s the "must have" to use omirigs
multithreading. If not only the first connected software get the CAT information from
Omnirig.

Re: Log4OM & SDR Console
Ah, that’s the missing piece of the puzzle ! I had been using SDR Console for satellite operation and had not needed admin privileges .
Thanks much !

Re: Log4OM & SDR Console
Hi! I ran into the same problems. I'm using Log4OM for a while now with my IC-7300 and Omnirig. I would like to use it now
to log QO-100 contacts so I tried to get CAT working with SDR Console. I installed the VSP Manager by K5FR and created two virtual ports. In SDR Console
I activated the serial port (here COM12) and in Omnirig I configured RIG2 (COM13, 57600 baud, TS-2000 rig type). RIG1 is used for the communication with the IC-7300. Unfortunately no success. Any advices on get it running?

Re: Log4OM & SDR Console
Just use Omnirig in sdrconsul and select rig 1 or 2 according to which one is connected to the 7300
Ensure Omnirig, log4om and sdrconsul are all run as an administrator

Re: Log4OM & SDR Console
Hi Terry!
I just discovered the Omnirig option in SDR Console. I activated now the external radio. Do I have to leave the virtual comport still selected in SDR console? It seems running in SDR console but the connection to Log4OM still will not work. Here are some screenshots:

Re: Log4OM & SDR Console
After clicking onto the Track button suddenly the frequency changes. I just want to send the current frequency and mode to Log4OM so it does
not have to work in both directions.
I'm using a Pluto connected to my WiFi-Router here.

Re: Log4OM & SDR Console
No the virtual com ports are not required
Dont forget to set all programs to 'Run as an administrator'

All programs are running as "Administrator". After deactivating the virtual com port the radio is not responding anymore in the
external radio window...

Re: Log4OM & SDR Console
I expect that you have the radio connected to a Virtual com port in Omnirig instead of the physical port to which the radio is actually connected.
It works like this.......
Omnirig makes the physical connection to your radios
Log4OM and SDRConsul share the data from Omnirig using its multithreading capability
You may have up to 8 programs all exchanging data with Omnirig providing all of the programs are set up to run as an administrator in their program properties/compatibility/settings (No virtual com ports required)
