hamlib and flex6300

Post by ve3wej »

I am trying ( unsuccessfully) to change from Omnirig, to Hamlib.
I have added port 5002 to cat portion of flex software, but when I setup hamlib to the 5xxx radio ( 2036 ) and port to 5002. it states connected by display on log4om says 147.000.00 not 7.074 as my radio is on.. have I missed a step? or do I go back to omnirig

no I am not running slicemaster. and yes I read the help file, but seems like it only expects omni rig, or hamlib via com port. I am trying to use tcp

Slicemaster does not see my Wsjtx, only Jtdx ( and I had to play with ini file to get that). my idea of hamlib was to not having to running additional software ( omnirig ) to have cat. if I run Slicemaster, with Jtdx, it will give the spots on the flex screen, but I dont need that.

update tcp 5003 is working on v 2.18.0.0 without slicemaster, but I will see if it retains the settings when I return from work. and will update on results

update to this issue. not sure what I did different, but the flex is now being seen on ip port 5003. and I still do not have to run omnirig or flrig or slicemaster to do it

I have been 2 days and so far all is good. I think I may have had more than 1 software on 5003 before

Thanks for help and guidance.

last update, hamlib quit the cat control on port 5003, and reverted back to 'no gig' on com 5. well I have decided that omnirig will be less errors and I do not have to/want to run slicemaster to have cat. also if I had used slicemaster, I am not sure i could still have 2 radios, on log4om, available ( I never got htat far). I will just keep as I have
