7300 CW-R mode when changing freqs

Post by KK7PW »

Hello. Apologies of this topic has been resolved. Could not find thread via search function.

I'd like to keep the CW normal setting when changing freqs using the spotter. Presently, always changes to CW-R.

Can someone tell me how to edit the .ini file (not replace) for the 7300 so that mode change to CW-R will not occur?

Thanks and 73.

Jonathan,

Have your looked at the IC7300 settings information on Page 26 of the current User Guide.

Sometimes adjusting some of the rigini values for the Omnirig can assist with the CW-R flip/flop as well. I had to do that for my Elecraft K3 many years ago until Lele added the "Invert SSB side (CW) tic box in the CAT Interface Configuration.

All noted in the User Guide.

Thanks, Nolan. Yes, I checked and my settings seem proper. Set to LSB for Normal CW mode.

My rig switches to CW-R when I click the L4O spotter between SSB to CW. I think its a setting in the 7300.ini file, but not sure what to look for or change.

Will keep digging. 73.

Jonathan,

Which rigini file have you selected in Omnirig? There are two to choose from. I'm not familiar with the code changes in those respective ini files, but why not select the one you are not using and give it a try?

I just looked at the DXAtlas site and it looks like the current rigini folder/file you have on your computer should have the current ini files for the IC7300. Screen clip below of what I noted in that rigini zip file.

Also ... did you select the tic box for Invert SSB side (CW) in the Configuration / CAT Interface?

Thanks Nolan and Terry -- selecting the inverting CW within CAT interface settings did the trick. CW normal now occurs when changing freqs.

73 and thanks again.
