DO NOT POST LOG FILES ON THIS FORUM THEY CONTAIN SENSITIVE INFORMATION

I have deleted the three posts

If you can't understand the log file send it by email to an alpha tester or Lele

Thank you guys! Very sorry about that... did not realize about the sensitive information! I have sent the file to both of your emails. I hope I gathered the information you were needing to understand where the problem maybe coming from!

I Have tried so many different configurations and no change, but I have noticed some times the system works great. Last night it was doing look-ups just fine after I turned the cluster feature off, thought I had it sorted, then I turned it back on and it still worked, tried it again the next day and back to painfully slow. Also it will just start working without changing anything, very perplexing.

Paul & Chris,

We're looking at some data files that Jeff has sent over ... no solid answers yet.

In the meantime if y'all could do the below for some additional debugging information:

1) Ensure you are using Log4OM v2.23.0.0 for this information gathering.
2) Confirm that you have selected QRZ.com as your Primary Source - Info Provider.
3) Go to: Settings / Program Configuration / Info Providers / Configuration ... "UNTIC" Show profile image in main user interface.
4) Do some lookups by entering callsigns in the Main UI

Does the lookup speed change? If it is still slow try the below steps:

1) Go to: Settings / Program Configuration / Info Providers ...
2) Disable QRZ.com as your Primary source Info Provider
3) Enable HAMQTH as your Primary source Info Provider. If need be you can create an account there and it is "free".
4) Do some lookups as noted above.

Has the lookup speed changed?

Additional input that would be helpful and Terry has asked same of Jeff directly.

1) What other software / APPs are running at the same time of your lookups? IE: FTxx APPs - WSJTx, JTAlert, Gridtracker, etc.
2) Specs of your PC
3) Cluster - are you also using a skimmer or RBN in your cluster feed?

Tnx in advance.

Hi Nolan. I am running 2.23.0.0. Other apps I am running are JTDX, Grid Tracker, PSTRotator. My pc is an Intel Core i5 2.3 with 8g ram. I tried the different configs and the only difference I noticed was turning off the profile image. Even then it was minimal.

There are just a handful of users out of the 40,000 plus user pool with this issue and most say its intermittent and some that it only happens when using QRZ which makes me think its a local issue either due to some weird QRZ malfunction or perhaps anti-virus, firewall, or maybe a virus or malware attack .

I have studied your logfiles and set up replica installations using users configs and databases and cannot replicate or see the issue so its a puzzle.

Lele is on holiday but when he returns I will direct him to this thread and I will of course continue to search for the cause.

One question- How many of you use Chrome browsers?

My system is a Core I7-4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz, 8Gb Ram 64 bit Operating system.
I run Win4Icom Suite with Club Log Spots turned on in the waterfall display and Log4OM.

Thanks for looking into this
