I'm trying to show some contacts on Google Earth using the Generate KML button from the QSO archive.
I am selecting the contacts and hitting Generate KML, it shows a red WORKING box but does not open into Google Earth.
I have Google Earth Pro installed at home but I'm sure I have done this before here successfully.
Last time I tried at work I think I had to open the non Pro Google Earth and it did work.
Should it be working with Pro (I'm sure I did here before as said) and if yes, what could be wrong?

Re: Google earth not launching?
You must have Google Earth installed but it should open automatically
Check that your kml file properties are set to be opened by default by GE

Re: Google earth not launching?
I have Google Earth Pro installed and a KML will open in that if double clicked no problem.
Does log4om save the kml anywhere I can go to it and open it?

Re: Google earth not launching?
I have deduced the fault now!
Still nothing on another (previously working) PC when trying so I figured this is odd.
Turns out all the QSOs I entered yesterday I must have done in some way that it never read in the locator of any of the contacts at all. Some of them are definitely known in the online lookup so should have.
(Last few sessions of logging have been after portable operations using manual time)
Previous sessions I entered in manual time did include and log known locators.
Anyway, the reason the KML was failing is because there was nothing to generate.
