Re: ADIF Import from fldigig - no locator
Hello Heinz, nice to see you here as a Log4Om user ...... here is Juergen (EPC #4146) .....
@ Terry, same software but another problem. I log with Fldigi to Log4Om via the communicator. All works fine, that means all informations would be logged o.k. (also the locator) but if i look into the Log4Om "Recent QSO" the distance was showing as 0 Kms. Any idea to make that work correctly ???? I´ve looked into the Fldigi configuration but there is nothing about distances.
B.t.w. if you think it´s better to handle this "problem" in an own thread please be so kind an transfer it to a seperate one

Hi Juergen,
As you will see from the FlDigi image below FlDigi does not record distance or bearing in its logbook so its not there for Log4OM to grab
However once the QSO has been imported you can easily update the distances (Providing the QSO shows a locator by following the instructions on Page 105 'Log Checks'

Re: ADIF Import from fldigig - no locator
Hi Terry,
yes i know that Fldigi dont give Log4Om a distance to grab and i also know the procedure at page 105 (i´ve used this and in the former Help it was at page 95
) ..... But wouldn´t it be better that Log4Om "recalculate" the distance automaticly if a QSO with a locator entry logged via communicator ??? I´m not a programmer but i think there must be a way .....
Sorry, Daniele for some new things for the mantis
More users some more ideas

Yes very possible but every procees that we add slows the opperation down!DF5WW wrote:Hi Terry,

If all operators needed to see the distance in the log then maybe there would be a case for this but apart from VHF/UHF and the QQRP operators it is not normally required.
So unless Daniele disagrees I don't think it is something that is important enough to worry about, unless you think differently?

Re: ADIF Import from fldigig - no locator
No problem Terry ..... It´s easy to work with the massive bulk editing and a "recalculation" isn´t really useful if it slowing down the whole logging ...... It´s o.k. like it as it is ...... As i see with HRD, to much functions slowing down the software and blow it up like a Windows OS
...... Was only a "idea"
