Omnirig with Icom 7300
Re: Omnirig with Icom 7300
I selected omnirig in settings of wsjt, but this did not help. I had to switch back to Ic 7300. Now the CAT is working with Log4OM, That's Great, But now I can not use WSJT. It seems I can not run both Log4Om and Wsjt at same time I have to open wsjt first and when I close wsjt than log4om will go to CAT mode and operate. Log4om will not recognize CAT when WSJT is up and running.

Re: Omnirig with Icom 7300
You CANNOT share a com port between two programs - So running WSJT using com ???? while Log4OM is running the same Com ???? or visa versa will not work
Omnirig allows what is called Multithreading which allows up to 8 programs to communicate with a radio simultaneously, providing all software that is using it is set to 'Run as an administrator' when its installed
If Omnirig is installed correctly then all software should select Omnirig (Rig 1 or Rig 2 whichever is connected).
The only place the radio, in your case a IC7300, should be selected is in OMNIRIG
I suspect that your issue from the start has been com port conflicts by attempting to use a mix or Omnirig and direct com port connection using WSJT etc
Try to find a local ham that fully understands how com ports work to help you.
