Member of Clubs?

Post by LB2TB »

Hello all :D

I have been testing out Log4OM since 2013. Been following the evolution of the software - so to say.

Today I downloaded and installed the new version 2 to give it a try. Everything worked like a charm :D. Uploads/downloads to LoTW, eQSL, ClubLog works beatiful here. DXClusters performing well. Nice interface !

Everything seemed to be in place for me to finally quit using UR5EQF-log.... but:

There seems to be no way I can put in a memberlist of HSC, FOC or CWOps (or any other Club-list) in order to know if my QSO-partner is a member of a Club or not ??

I am sure there must be many existing users wanting a feature like that in Log4OM. We got the membership textfiles, but where to put them?

Have I missed something?

This is something I'm looking for as well. To see if you work a co club member and the ability to see how may club members you have worked. Until now I'm not able to have this arranged despite the clear manual. This look ups are important ones.
Any assistance is appreciated.

If you can obtain the membership lists of the club's you are interested then you can create an award based on those details as award references.

There is also provision for his club and membership reference in the input window

However be carefull because under European law there are strict rules regarding holding personal data like membership lists

Gd Terry,
Thanks for your reply. I'm aware of the EU AVG. However, calls and club numbers only are no problem as long you don't publish them. This info from club and names only comes together ones you log them.
You mentioned to do this via the award fields. I have spend already a few hours trying to create this but failed. I even printed just the award part of the manual and followed it step by step but still failed.
Are you able to give some hints how to do create this? Will be great as this is an important function for me and probably many others.
If you like I can send you a memberlist of a club.
Thank you in advance.

Hi

Thanks for this great software ... did use it for a some days now on 3 computeres with MYSQL on my server and it works VERY well.

The only thing i do miss is the member list facility, where i can get information in the moment i do type the call in the log and push TAB - which club are the other guy member of ...
I do have the files with all the members - FOC, HSC, VHSC etc ... but where and how to put the information in, and where to see it ?

Best regards from a new fan ;o)

Use the award manager in Log4OM and you can import the csv files for those clubs

Hi
Thanks for reply
i did make a FOC award with all the FOC members.

When i do enter a call in the log the only place i can see if they are member of FOC are in the award tab ..see attached ...

But here all the worked FOC members show up, and not only the one i do work right now ...

How to make it so i can see ...is he or is he not member of FOC ....
in N1MM the history file show up with name and FOC number just below the callsign IF he is member of FOC ..

Mabye i did something wrong but can not find anything in the manual ..

Best regards
Jalmar
