Backup Program Configuration
Re: Backup Program Configuration
Update - Copying the SQLITE database file from the original Win7 computer to the new Win10 computer does work. I get the error described in my prior post when trying to open the database via a mapped drive.
Re: Backup Program Configuration
Sorry to clutter the conversation. Remote SQLITE connection works. I had to grant Full Control permissions on the Win7 computer share.
Gird column selections, positions and sizes came over on the restore.
All is good. I loving it. It would be nice if there were a Restore menu item to automate the process.

Re: Backup Program Configuration
All grid info looks like it is stored in a separate "user" directory that might want to get backed up. On my Win7 system it is here:
C:\Users\KA4CDN\AppData\Roaming\Log4OM2\user
If you modify your band plan, they are stored here and need to backed up:
C:\Users\KA4CDN\AppData\Roaming\Log4OM2\bandplan
(I assume changes to there would be overwritten with version upgrades?)

Re: Backup Program Configuration
I just did the upgrade to 2.4.0
All customization I had made to band plan files and cluster commands were overwritten. In V1, user modified plans and command files were in separate files with _user or some such name.
Suggest the manual discuss backing up these additional manuals and include information on restoring a system from a set of backup files. I've got notes I'm happy to submit for consideration to Terry.
Thanks,
Mike
