Net Control

Post by ah6fx »

Terry - I see the Net Control feature of Log4OM1 did not make it to Log4OM2 version. I find the Net Control feature very useful when I participate in several nets or get-togethers with friends. Its value is in properly logging stations that enter and leave a net or multi-ham QSO. I use it once or twice a week. I can appreciate that its seldom used by many hams thereby not warranting its inclusion in Log4OM2.

I see the Log4OM2 tool Memory Reminder which is useful and half of the Net Control tool, and lets us jump to a memory frequency at a mouse click.

Is there a way you could make Net Control available as an add-in or something like that? It seems like it could be logically integrated into Memory Reminder or even as its former Log4OM1-self as a stand alone integrated tool in Log4OM2.

Thanks much

Danny,
I agree it was a great tool and a lot of my UK friends miss it.

It's on the Mantis to do list but I can't say when of even if it will be added

Meanwhile I am still using Version 1 for net control and exporting an ADIF file to import into version 2

Terry -- glad Net Control is on the to-do list. Good idea about using version 1 but big file to import for such few loggings relatively ... altho I know adif import will ignore dupes. Keep up the good work.

Danny
Don't export the complete database just those worked on the nets say once a week, use QSO manager
