Cluster Filtering

Post by NT6X »

My cluster of choice is VE7CC-1. I logged in using CC Cluster program and set all my filters the way I want them, then disconnect and logged back in from Log4OM. For some reason i'm still getting USA station spots even though I set up the filters to reject USA.

There aren't many cluster filtering options in Log4OM but it makes sense that if I log into VE7CC, set my filters, then log into Log4OM using my callsign that my filters would still work since they were set at the VE7CC server level. However, USA spots are still coming through.

Any ideas?

Sorry guys, I think it was my fault. I accidentally had a JA cluster also listed on my Active Server list and I suspect that's where the USA spots were coming from. There were no filters set on the JA cluster.

Using VE7CC only seems to be behaving correctly.

Mike,

I also use the VE7CC cluster or one of the other sites also taking the feed from Lee's site.

I just did a setup to reject "K" and I was not seeing any USA spots. Is this what you have set up?

I dont know about you guys but VE7CC has been the server that I and several locals have been using for many years. But the last 4-6 weeks we have all had issues with it. Currently I am running WD4IXD as an alternate.

Sigh.... looks like I spoke too soon. I logged into VE7CC using CC Cluster app, reset my filters to reject USA spots, then logged into Log4OM and connected to VE7CC. Log4OM is still passing USA spots. All USA spots are rejected when connected directly to VE7CC using CC Cluster, so I can confirm that the server filters are working, but for some reason Log4OM is passing them.

Make sure you have the sh/mydx line removed in Log4OM.

It will drive you crazy when you are setting up your filters.
