Column headings missing

Post by VK7XX »

When Log4om Version 2.5.0.0 is first started up, and you then choose View / Worked Before the window opens but there are no column headings. With my installation, once I enter a callsign in the main window, the column headings then appear however, on a friends installation, the column headings never appear.

Is thie just he and I and our particular computers, or is this something that is a bug ?

John,

Depends upon "which" Worked Before Window is being used. Images below show the Worked Before (F10) window and thew Worked Before window that is selected from the View dropdown.

One has the column labels and the other does not. Once the call-sign has been selected then all the column labels will show in the Worked Before window from the View dropdown. The WB4 window from the View dropdown won't populate unless the window is opened first then a call sign put in the UI.

As you indicated it is working for your installation. Be sure your friend has the WB4 window (from View dropdown) open somewhere on his screen and then enter a call sign in the UI. All should appear.

If it does not can you get screen shots of the situation? Can you also have him provide information about his computer, the installed version of Log4OM V2 and more? See the FAQ above that Doug Munday posted about items we need to better able our support help.

Hope this might help out a tad.

It helps a lot, thanks Nolan. I will see if I can get a screen shot etc etc from my friend.

Nolan, just to keep you updated... my friend tells me that his window now behaves the same is mine, so my guess is that he wasnt looking at it properly in the first place, <sigh> so, there will be no screen shots.

At least I now know this "weird behaviour" is normal. Thanks again for that

John,

Tnx for the input/update from your friend's observation.

It may be "weird", but does happen to be by design. As you both have seen that once the data point is selected and appears in the window all the necessary column headings are visible.

Enjoy the new release as well and take care.
