NO FREQUENCY IS DISPLAIED ON Log4om2!!

Hi.
I am not sure if you got my previous message.

My laptop still tha same HP Pavillion.
Was running with no problem whatsoever log4om2 with windows 7.

Upgraded same laptop with windowz 10.
Log4om2 is running 90%.
BUT I CANNOT see anylonger the frequency displayed by my transceivers ftdx1200 and ftdx3000 on Log4om2.

Made the all possible updates on windows 10 including check of usb drivers.Seem all right.

Example: if i see on cluster a station of my interest and click its call, the station suddenly goes to log4om2 but not its frequency which is shown on my transceivers.

There is a problem i cannot fix, and may be with your help shall be solved.

Yochanan,

Check your CAT connections. Did you also download and update OmniRig and the associated rig ini files for that CAT program? I will assume here that you have chosen OmniRig as your CAT interface.

That is the APP that provides the data flow between Log4OM V2 and your rig. You can also choose HamLib if you like, but we recommend using OmniRig as it is far more versatile in most cases.

Cat connections are ok.
On Log4om2, bottom line, cat dot is GREEN.
Yes ! Did download OMNIrig. Again.
I do nor understand , and probably this is the treal issue , how to find, where to search on windows 10, if associated Rig Ini files are on the pc.

Would you explain please.

Yes!
I have downloaded as well the Inis directly from DxAtlas and they are in the pc.
Both for my FtDx 1200 and FtDx 3000.
They are all listed.
But i'm not sure if they work properly with windows 10.
I have made a great mistake in upgrading to windows 10 from windows 7.
I never ever had a problem, and i cannot return back !!

It will all work with Windows 10 OK

You must have something set up incorrectly

Start by identifying you com port numbers in the device manager of windows and check what baud rate is set in the radio menu

Im having same problems. Cant get Frequency to display in LOG4OM2. Icom 7610 and WSJT and GridTracker do get the rig display frequency.
All CAT settings agree, have green CAT light on GUI, COM port setting are correct and am using latest Onmi-rig software. No Joy! Ideas?

All programs run as administrator ? Without this Omnirigs multithreading don´t work. All softwares
(Omnirig, WSKT-X, Log4OM e.g.) must be run as administrator.

Which is "latest" Omnirig ? Latest original is V1.19 from Afreet Software, Omnirig V2 won´t work
with Log4OM without problems. That´s a modified version from a HB9 programmer.

All are running as Administrator. What Ive found is, running LOG4OMv2 locks up the UDP Service to PSK Reporter. Turn this
off (or stop WSJT), and frequency display in Log4OM V2 works. Havent found a work around on this, as trying different port address didnt work.
Get a HAMLIB error.

So this is going to be a bugger to get solved me thinks.

It's easy

You MUST use Omnirig if you want to sync WSJT with LOG4OM - HAMLIB WILL NOT WORK

You must install Omnirig, Log4om and WSJT to run as an administrator

Get Log4om and Omnirig working properly with your radio

Now in WSJT settings/ Radio select OMNIRIG - DO NOT SELECT YOUR RADIO

If You follow the detailed instructions in our user guide it will work

Well its working with WSJT and LOG4OM2, but starting GridTracker locks it up. Or if WSJT and GridTracker is working fine together; then starting LOG4OM2 locks things up. WIll just leave it as is. Im sure its a port problem but rite now dont know how to fix. Thanks for advise.
