PC is Windows 11 and rig connected to router.
What's best method for getting rig to work with Log4OM?
Started OmniRig first and then Log4OM both in administrative modes but no go.

Thank you Terry
Re: Flex 6600m connecting to LOG4OM
I’ve been chasing a problem for 2 months now that finally looks like an Omnirig issue - my 6600 connects ONE time after the SmartSDR software is installed and never again. I’ll give Hamlib a try, but the current setup has worked fine for a few years. Why did it start failing in the May/June 2022 timeframe? I’d love to know that.

Hi Duane.. I have a 6500 connected to Log4OM via OmniRig, but I found I have to use the 'old' v1.2 version to make it work. I can't get the 2.0 version to work at all. Did you recently upgrade your OmniRig? Did you install a new version of SmartSDR/ (I'm using 2.8.0)

Don,
Omnirig v2.0 is from the developer in Switzerland and it will not work with Log4OM.
There are many threads on the Forum about it not working and that Lele has reached out to the developer many times to work out issues with no response.
Ergo ... Log4OM does not support that version of Omnirig.
The original Omnirig v1.2 currently is what is supported. V1.2 is from Alex the original developer of Omnirig.

Best use Hamlib and slicemaster for connection to a Flex which unfortunately does not use the TCI control system like the SunSDR

Re: Flex 6600m connecting to LOG4OM
I’ve been running Omnirig 1.2 for a long time. Still no clue on this problem. I plan to try SliceMaster next and see what works. HamLib looks a bit more complex. Thanks for the suggestions.

Re: Flex 6600m connecting to LOG4OM
New forum member here - so go easy on me!
i've been using Log4OM for a while with Icom 7300/9700 via Omnirig - works great and really easy to set up.
now moved to a Flex 6600M - i can get Log4Om to link via Omnirig to the actual rig - but not to Smart SDR panadaptor.
tried setting it up with Hamlib and Slicemaster - but the instructions in the latter refer to an old version of Log4OM.
would love to keep using Log4OM - but if i cant make it work i might have to admit defeat!
Terry - do you know if there's a more up to date "how to" guide to set up a flex please?

Re: Flex 6600m connecting to LOG4OM
Probably not especially as I sold the Flex so no longer have one to test, but I will look at it in the next few days.
As far as I remember you could use Omnirig with smartcat connections using rig 1 as one receiver and rig 2 as the other one but both smartcat and Omnirig must be run as an administrator.
Whereas Hamlib connects via the network direct to SmartSDR
TIP: Don't forget to make a backup of the Flextradio SD card they get corrupted, and you lose the OS
