Dan,

As for information for the FT-710 you will have to reach out to Alex who develops Omnirig and Mike - w9mdb who develops Hamlib.

They are responsible for adding the ini files or parameters needed for new rigs.

Dan,

His website is: https://www.dxatlas.com/

He has his e-mail posted there as: ve3nea AT dxatlas.com

Name / callsign: Alex Shovkoplyas VE3NEA

You could also send or offer to send Alex a copy of the CAT Operations Reference Manual for the FT-710 that you can d/l from the Yaesu website for the FT-710. All the codes are in that guide.

Also ... the installation of the proper drivers from/for Yaesu are noted as well. That is your responsibility to do.

Nolan: I emailed both Alex and Mike and provided them the link to the Yaesu FT-710 CAT Operations Reference Manual.

Thanks for your help.

Steve,

I just went to the DXAtlas website and checked the Omnirig 'ini' files and don't see a specific one for that rig. I also don't know if Dan has heard back from the developer either.

Often a similar ini file can slightly tweaked to work with your rig, but you would have to test that out.

Or your could also try Hamlib for your choice of CAT and see if there is a driver in that APP for your rig.

I have not heard back regarding updating the rig list in Omnirig for the 710. KI5IO provided me a work around using Hamlib, however, I could not get it to work.

I also ran into a problem downloading the most recent version of Log4OM Next Gen. My computer will not allow me to download the recent version. The Norton anti-virus keeps stopping it identifying it as a threat even when I disable Norton. As a result the last version is now not working. Any suggestions. Should I uninstall and re install? If I uninstall, will I lose all of my data?

Thanks, Dan K2DJL
