Database default upon startup

Yes, selecing Save & Apply does close the config dialog box.

As a problem solving test, I tried to also Save & Apply under User Configuration tab in order to lock in the default database, but it didn't work.

I tried your suggestion: File/Open/New Database, and it worked to select a new database. however, when I closed and reopened Log4OM, it reverted back to old defunct database.

It's odd. I mentioned I also Uninstalled Log4OM and did clean reinstall, yet this old defunct database (and all old settings) persist.

Did you install to default locations or have you installed somewhere else?

Yes. I uninstalled, and reinstalled in new folder on C: drive. The new install includes all of my previous settings including the defunct database.

It must be a user config file (or something) that is not being removed during uninstallation. I'm running Windows 11.

No please let the program install in the default location which is the Program files x86 folder, you dont need to change anything just accept the defaults dont install in any other folders on C drive

I've done that, too. Does not change the default database that keeps populating the settings.

Yes in the C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Log4OM2 folder if you installed to default locations
