I'm not sure if this is the same on other dual VFO transceivers...
My Yaesu FTDX 5000MPL has dual VFOs. I suspect like mike many owners, I have VFO B tracking the frequency movements of VFO A and utilising a second antenna on VFO B. A stereo affect is achieved as well as being able to monitor variation in propagation, antenna performance etc.
A double-click on the Log4OM2 Cluster Band Map changes the frequency on VFO A to match the band map frequency. However, VFO B remains on the transceiver's original frequency. Pressing the A>B button on the transceiver realigns VFO B to A, but then the alternative antenna has to be reselected on VFO B, which entails a number of button presses.
Is it possible to amend the CAT commands from Log4OM2 so that the transceiver receives the same frequency change instruction for VFO B? (assuming the transceiver can accept such a command).
Thanks.
Ian.
