V2.32.1.0 Stalls during shutdown

While using the program, all of the features that I use seem to operate normally.

However, when I exit the program, via menu or via "red X", the exit stalls and doesn't proceed beyond this point. I have to resort to Task Manager to exit.

OS: Win10 Pro

A little more info on this one.....

The stall might come from the LOTW upload on exit.

When I attempt to upload from "Utilities>QSL Manager" the upload stalls at this point.



Further, I disabled LoTW "automatic upload on application closed", and now the program exits gracefully.

So the title of this thread should become "unable to upload to LoTW.

My Log4OM is V2.32.1.0
My tQSL is V2.7.2
My OS is Win10 PRO auto updated regularly

It gets more confusing!

In spite of the "stall", I checked at LoTW and the Q's have been uploaded, but Log4OM still shows them as "Sent Requested".

If I use Utilities>QSL Manager> and download, some of the Q's are showing LoTW Recd "Yes"

Check out Page 112 of the "current" User Guide as it goes into the confirmations settings.

You might have a couple things working against one another, but I'm not sure.

I don't use the 'Request' option for dealing with my QSOs. I'm kind of old-school in that I use "Yes" it has been sent or received and "No" it has not been sent nor received.

An OM can choose either method of using Yes/No/Requested, but it has to be consistent.

Below are screen clips of my settings for Confirmations and note that you also have to have the option noted under your LOTW tab. Of course when you 'manually' upload/download to LOTW (or any source) you have to change the options located in the drop-downs to match your settings.

I also never use the "auto-upload" for any service as I prefer to keep my fingers/eyes on my uploads and downloads.

Thanks for the response.

I went through all the settings, as per info @ page 112 and beyond.

Everything was exactly as it should be. (I expected that, since I've been running trouble free with this setup for years.)

Since the onset of the problem was coincident with installing 2.32.1.0, I stepped back to V2.31.0.0 and the problem persisted!

Could it be something in tQSL, I wondered. So I stepped that back a version, and the problem persisted!

Well, OK, it isn't in either of those, so I reinstalled both back to current versions, and started troubleshooting all over again from scratch.

To my amazement, without changing any settings, just reinstalling the two applications, the problem vanished.

It must be "FM". (effin' magic)

Well I spoke too soon.

The problem continues. It seems that I can upload a few Q's at a time (maybe a couple dozen?), but larger uploads stall out.

This has been happening since version 2.27.1.0.
At the time, I reported this on Facebook's Log4OM Enthusiasts forum, but no one took it seriously. To avoid this problem, I set the settings so that UDP transfer and TQSL interactive mode are not used.
Now there are no problems except when the LoTW server is down.
