Hamlib is working, but switches the radio between VFO A and VFO B continously...
Downgraded to fw V2.10 on IC-7700, same issue.
Tried RigExpert TI-5 interface and Omnirig, same issue.

Can you please explain why the correct frequency shows at the top of my screen, but not in freq-field in the logger?
For me, it looks like the logger get the frequency, but do not populate the freq-field.
Both inside the LOG4OM, so it gets both VFO A and B.

I have used this interface on my IC-7600 and on this PC, until one week ago, worked without problems for many years.
I'm still suspicious about the Omirig ini-file. That's the only change, I've done.

I did not found a solution, but VFO A up and working...
Downgraded to LOG4OM V.2.29.0.0, Omnirig 1.20 w/IC-7700.ini (that came with the installation).
The "Freq" and "RX Freq" populates, but only with VFO A, do not register split or VFO B. "Band" is also populated correct.
We have a Clubstation with the same setup as I've got at home, and the problem started there aswell when we did an upgrade to V2.31.0.0.
Date of upgrade 13 March 2024.
The IC-7700V2.ini don't work.

Did some modifications on IC-7700.ini (Omnirig v1.20).
Got it up and working now on latest release V2.32.1.0.
I'm no expert, but it's working.
I take no responsability with use of this file, I'm no expert in editing these files.
Had to rar the file, forum don't accept ini-files as attachments.

This INI-file is a temporary work-around.
I hope LOG4OM will make the program talk to the original INI-file in OmniRig, IC-7700V2.INI

To the L4OM-Crew; If you need a beta-tester for the IC-7700, just tell me.
I love this logger, and will continue to use this as long as possible. Tnx! :D

This is NOT a LOg4OM issue its an Omnirig ini issue thats is why I suggested contacting Alex

Omnirig is the interpreter Log4OM just sends a STANDARD code to Omnirig and Omnirig interpreets that to a command recognised by the radio

I was having the same problem, and was preparing to post about it when I saw this topic. In my case, I am using a Yaesu FTDX-101MP and the Win4Yaesu app. I had been using Omnirig 1.19, but just now installed 1.2, then restarted Log4OM 2.32.1.0. In my case the frequency is being populated as it should, as is the band. However, the mode doesn't always show what the rig is showing. The main problem is when I switch to RTTY mode, Log4OM shows it as FT8. The rig is showing RTTY-L, and Win4Yaesu shows RTTY. Yes, RTTY is set as one of my preferred modes. This, at least, is easy to fix by clicking the Mode drop down list.

Ok, I believe you are right Terry.
I sent you an email, with info regarding OmniRig and Alex.
It works for me now, and hope the ini-file works for everyone that needs to connect their IC-7700.
Cleaned up the file, and added some comments.
It's working at our local clubstation as well.
Tnx! ;)

Thank you Bjorn. I haven't been able to get the frequency to display correctly on LOG4OM ever for my IC-7700. It would either display both frequencies on top using Omnirig and not display the frequency in the log or using Hamlib it would display correctly but only VFO A. I installed your ini file and it immediately is working perfectly now. Thank you very much for figuring out this problem.

Hi, I'm writing on behalf of a friend who has the same problem with an ICOM 7700.
For the CAT connection to the PC use a microHAM USB –III Sound/CAT interface in Omnirig mode.
The Omnirig version is 1.20.
In the Omnirig menu there are 3 configuration files.ini for the 7700.
By selecting the first and the second (called 7700 and 7700v2) when you select a spot from the cluster in voice or cw, the log regularly loads all the data including the tx and rx frequencies on the main screen (and the radio switches to that frequency) but when you select a spot in DIGITAL...the radio switches to RTTY and not to USB-D.
This problem (which I also had with the 7300) is resolved by selecting the one called 7700v2data as the Omnirig .ini file (the same thing happens with the 7300 by selecting the 7300data file) but in this configuration, when you select any spot of the cluster, the log does not load the rx and tx frequencies (which instead happens regularly with my 7300 which however is connected to the PC via USB). I believe the problem can be solved by comparing the 2 Omnirig .ini configuration files, modifying in particular the one called 7700v2data making sure that in this there are the right commands present in the other simply called 7700 which has the good thing about allowing loading in the frequency log from the cluster spots.
I would also add that I also tried to load the .ini file called 7700V2_2 posted here https://forum.log4om.com/viewtopic.php? ... 700#p46695 (where the same problem is mentioned) but without solving anything.
I attach screenshots of the 7700 configuration.
Thank you.73
