voice keyer transfer

Post by GI7CMC »

I have Log4OM 2 v 2.33.0.0 running on a Windows 10 PC. I used the Audio devices and voice keyer tab to record 4 audio files. I now want to transfer these to another PC. I tried copying them from the audio folder in the original PC to the equivalent folder in a different PC. This does not appear to work. May these audio files only be used on the PC that was used to record them?

From what I recall the recording is saved with a unique reference string, that name string is saved in the config.

So the files will not be recognised by the other installation unless you also copy the user config to the other machine

SOLVED: I solved this as follows. On PC _1 I recorded 4 audio files.
I found these files in Appdata>Log4OM>audio. The filenames were f5cc6878-b097-4333-adad-71a465c8e26f1.wav to f5cc6878-b097-4333-adad-71a465c8e26f4.wav
On PC_2, I recorded 4 random audio files and found these in Appdata>Log4OM>audio. I replaced these with the original 4 audio files, but retained the names that they were given on PC_2. It worked!
