Recently I have worked several stations that I have not had a contact with for many many years and I have noticed that the info that auto fills my log page is taken from these old contacts. In many cases a lot of what is now useful info to me is missing from those old contacts... things like IOTA or Locator or State etc etc... things I had no interest in way back then but do now... Some of the old digital contacts I have logged don't even have a name stored so at the moment I use the lookup button and put the info in manually. My question is, is there a button I have missed that allows me to click or some other method, that easily allows me to either fill in or even overwrite the old info with new info obtained from QRZ ?? (And if not, can this be added to the requests list please)

Overwrite using current QRZ info
Re: Overwrite using current QRZ info
In settings 1, uncheck the "Fill data using previous QSO".

Re: Overwrite using current QRZ info
Hi John,
Yes where information is missing just sort and then select the relevant QSO's in the QSO archive manager and click the "Update info" button - See image below
Don't forget to check the "Enable update" box - I forgot it in the screenshot
This will check all call signs selected with QRZ/HamQTH.com and complete any missing data.
This of course relies on the information being available from these online sources

Chuck, when I uncheck that setting no info at all go's in to the log. I must be missing something else with that one. Meantime, I'll look in to Terrys suggestion
thank you both.
John

Can you check your log for errors?
Can be a wrong password or many other things...
Name is not overwritten if something is already on the QSO
