HI,
I tried to search the forum for this topic, but it keeps telling me my search word is too common. Oh well.
Log4OM has been working fine for a few years and suddenly THIS happens: Whenever I select (double click on) a station I want to work from the cluster, and they are listed as "DIGITAL", the program properly switches to the frequency, but it puts my IC-7300 into RTTY-R instead of USB-DATA. Also if the station is listed as "PHONE" it switches me to the freq, puts me in the proper mode (USB/LSB (so far so good)) but changes my IF filter to "FILter 2".
I haven't changed anything (as far as I know). Since this is a new computer, I have been getting all of my programs to work as they did on the old one. I was working on FLDigi the other day, but it had nothing to do with Log4OM. I don't use FLDigi with Log4OM other than sending qso data over, but I haven't made a QSO with FLDigi since I got the new computer.
Thanks for any help es 73,
Steve - N6RSH

Log4OM version number?
Omnirig or Hamlib and what version numbers?
USB cable connection or Remote on back of rig?

Re: Mode Change from Cluster
I have hopefully attached a screen shot of the CAT Management tab in Configurations. Which setting should I change?

Re: Mode Change from Cluster
It says "Switch to Digital" already. What am I missing?
Here is my Omnirig panel. I WAS using Hamlib on the old computer. I started using Omnirig on THIS computer a couple of months ago. I was working fine until one day rescently. I just turned on the computer and this started happening. I mean I can manually switch the mode back to USB-DATA but selecting a station in the cluster should put me in the proper mode. I DOES for any other mode except FT8/4.
1) Is there a setting in the Cluster that needs to be changed?
2) Is there a .ini or registry file that needs to be checked?
3) Would it be better to use Hamlib?
4) Do I ask too many question for a guy from Nebraska?
Thanks,
Steve N6RSH

Re: Mode Change from Cluster
Try changing the setting that I referred to from FT8 to something else!

Re: Mode Change from Cluster
Steve,
You might could also try the IC-7300-DATA ini from the Omni-Rig Settings.
They provide the different ini's due to programming options from what I've seen.

Thanks, Nolan
That did the trick. Changing to IC-7300-DATA works. I can now go to ANY mode from the cluster now. I don't know how it changed, but I am getting old and probably don't remember if/when I did it.
Thanks to ALL who chimed in.
